Flightline Takes Youth Quartet Gold

In an amazing field of young singers, Flightline (FWD) came away with the gold medals in the 2017 Harmony Foundation Youth Barbershop Quartet Contest. Rounding out the top five were: 2nd: Ohana Means Family (DIX) 3rd: Blindside (BHA) 4th: Eclectones (FWD) 5th: Brothers in Arms (MAD) 2016 youth champs, Pratt Street Power, wowed the audience with their swan song set, including a beautiful performance of “Somewhere Out There”. Vocal Majority in the Hunt for 13th Championship

The mighty Vocal Majority from Dallas, TX heads to Las Vegas this summer, seeking their thirteenth gold medal. Under the direction of Greg Clancy, the VM heads into the Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Finals seeded first, with a 95.0% qualifying score. The VM faces some pretty tough competition this year, with past champions Masters of Harmony and Toronto’s Northern Lights, as well as the amazing Central Standard Chorus all seeking the top spot.
